Where are we going?

Before I start on my thoughts for the day here is my health update. I have been getting a ton of feedback from people on my last post about health care. There’s no doubt this effect a lot of people. Today I have another check up with my nephrologists. Blood work & that kind of stuff. After kicking and screaming Friday like a 3 year old I got Jody back in tomorrow to try to complete her work up. I’m telling you what a sacrifice. She has sacrificed so much time and energy for me. I will never be able to repay her. Above is a picture of all of us when we were kids. Even then it looks like Jody was taking care of me.

I recently have gone off the beaten path on this blog which was initially meant to update my friends and family on these state of my health but so many thing have transpired over the last four months. Thanks to the current make up of the health care industry I haven’t found enough time to spend feeling sick let alone getting better. My time has been spent lobbing on behalf of myself toward my insurance company to get coverage for my health condition. Yes people, this means what you read about in the papers and magazines is true. Health insurance companies reserve the right to deny you coverage. I have just been blessed by god with kidney disease. I don't know what I would have done if I had cancer or something that made me violently ill. I could have never got any of this done and would have just simply died.

Come on! Your telling me Bernie Madoff runs a billion dollar ponzi scheme and is facing life in prison. How about the health care companies that are doing basically the same thing but on a grander scale and get to live like kings. Follow me here, Madoff took people’s money and invested in fake stuff so he could keep all the cash. Simple enough, right. He took money from people with the idea that they would benefit in some fashion monetarily for their investment. Such as the hundreds of million people in America that pays into a health care system that the health care system has no intention of ever paying in the first place. An industry where executives receive bonuses based off of how many people they reject coverage too. Well I have came to the realization my ranting will not change the current system. Not from a computer in Wilmington Oh. The only thing that keeps me sane is to know that someday these people will have to answer to our maker and for that I pray for their souls. Because what these health care companies are doing is ethically wrong, but it's morally wrong also.
